Dr. Elizabeth Villalobos, Chapter Adviser at the University of Nevada, Reno, had her book Border Killers: Neoliberalism, Necropolitics, and Mexican Masculinity  published by the University of Arizona Press in 2024). She also received he “2024 Regents’ Rising Researcher Award” from the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE).

If you have a noteworthy university/national award, grant, scholarly publication or other significant professional achievement you would like to be announced by Sigma Delta Pi, please e-mail the following details for consideration to sdpnational@gmail.com:

Dr. Leonor Taiano

Dr. Leonor Taiano, Chapter Adviser of Carson-Newman University, has enjoyed multiple publications in 2024: an article “De Guerreros y Enamorados: El Abencerraje y la Hermosa Jarifa en un Mundo de Contrastes” published Caligrama: Revista de Estudos Românicos; a book chapter “The Law of War in Infortunios de Alonso Ramírez” in the book Climate Change and Trans-Atlantic Transformations (Escribana Books), and an co-edited volume with  Wladimir Chávez and Gen Yamabe and entitled  Finisterre II: Revisiting the Last Place on Earth Migrations in Spanish and Latin American Culture and Literature (Waxmann Verlag).
