Sigma Delta Pi’s Board of Student Advisers (BSA) Seeks 2 Additional Members. Monday, September 17 Deadline for Applications

This fall, Sigma Delta Pi’s National Executive Committee plans to appoint two additional members of our Board of Student Advisers (BSA).  Established in 2016, the BSA provides national leadership opportunities to our undergraduate and graduate student members of Sigma Delta Pi.  For related details, please review the BSA charter.

Active student members of Sigma Delta Pi who are interested in becoming members of our Board of Student Advisers should submit  to the Executive Director via e-mail ( the following information by Monday, September 17, 2018:

1)      Statement of interest.
2)      CV (résumé).

he two new appointees will join the current members of the BSA (see and work together on current projects and as outlined in the aforementioned charter.

The Premio Ignacio y Sophie Galbis is named in memory of Ignacio Galbis, former Executive Secretary-Treasurer, who, along with his wife Sophie, served Sigma Delta Pi for more than two decades with uncommon love, dedication and efficiency. This award will be presented each year to a chapter whose annual report of activities is judged indicative of genuinely outstanding work in the furtherance of our purposes.

Sigma Delta Pi’s Chapter Project Grant Program: Now Accepting Applications on Rolling Basis Effective Immediately

Honor Chapters (Capítulos de Honor y Mérito) are selected each year by the Executive Committee based upon annual reports submitted by the chapters. Awardees are those chapters that have distinguished themselves during the academic year with activities and projects that best reflect the mission of the Society. Honor Chapters receive a certificate along with recognition both on the Society’s national website and in Entre Nosotros.

Established in 2004, this award may recognize yearly one Chapter Adviser for exemplary initiative in encouraging and assisting with chapter activities. The awardee will receive a plaque and a cash award and will be chosen by the Executive Committee on the basis of the Annual Reports that each active chapter submits at the end of the academic year.

Sigma Delta Pi’s Informative Session and 6th Annual “Best Practices” Session at the 100th AATSP Conference in Salamanca, Spain

Sigma Delta Pi invites chapter members, officers and delegates to its 6th Annual “Best Practices” Session, combined with an Informative Session, at this month’s 100th Annual Conference of the AATSP in Salamanca, Spainon Monday, June 25, 2018 from 2:15-3:30pm in the Sala Mayor at the Palacio de Congresos.

All Sigma Delta Pi members and attendees to the “Best Practices” and Informative Session are invited to the reception that follows beginning at 3:30pm in the Sala de Autoridades at the Palacio de Congresos.
