To commemorate the anniversary of Sigma Delta Pi’s first formal induction ceremony on Saturday, May 1, 1920 at founding member Miriam Burt’s home on 1629 Walnut Street in Berkeley, CA, the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society will hold its 7th annual “Día de Sigma Delta Pi” on Friday, May 1, 2026 at 4:00pm EDT with a presentation by

“Pensar el presente para imaginar el futuro: La ANLE y el español en los EE. UU.”
Dr. Morgado will also discuss the ongoing joint Sigma Delta Pi-ANLE project “Transformative Spanish Language Programs,” which features a resource manual and an annual panel at the AATSP conference. Sigma Delta Pi’s Dr. Mark P. Del Mastro will moderate.
