Sigma Delta Pi: Graduate Research Grant Program, 2019: March 1 Application Deadline

Sigma Delta Pi, National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society

is pleased to announce its graduate research grant program for the summer of 2019 and the 2019-20 academic year. An eligible graduate student who is an active member of Sigma Delta Pi may apply for one grant of up to $2000 to support travel ABROAD to Spain or Spanish America for the sole purpose of research related to Hispanic Studies.  No more than five total grants may be awarded in 2019 based upon the quality and depth of the pool of applications.

Application deadline: March 1, 2019.

Sigma Delta Pi’s First SHLE Study Abroad Award Winner: Mr. David Andrew Lynch of North Central Texas College

Sigma Delta Pi, the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society,

is pleased to announce that Mr. David Andrew Lynch of the North Central Texas College Chapter of the Sociedad Honoraria de la Lengua Española (SHLE) is our inaugural Juan Manuel Sampere Scholarship winner for the SHLE Undergraduate Study Abroad Award Program. Mr. Lynch will spend four weeks studying abroad in Costa Rica in July 2019 with Estudio Sampere.

This new website reflects numerous changes, to include access to and submission of various forms, as well as new addresses for many of the website links.  Please ensure that you update ANY specific webpages from www.sigmadeltapi.org with the correct addresses for your chapter websites, blogs and social media.  Much has changed from the previous website that requires your chapter’s attention for its local promotional materials.

IMPORTANT:

1)  Information and materials for Chapter Advisers are now found on the “Adviser Resources” tab on the main page of the website: https://sigmadeltapi.org/chapter-resources/

2)  A new online ordering platform has been adopted for the request of materials (membership pins, certificates, etc.) from our national office. Please review carefully: https://sigmadeltapi.org/chapter-resources/order-forms-for-initiation-materials/.  The previous MS Word order form that was downloadable from the old website, as well as any previous electronic/paper order forms you may have on hand ARE NO LONGER VALID AND WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Please use the online platform exclusively for all future orders to avoid delays with your requests.
